EH038 LIsa the Unicorn Back

LISA THE UNICORN

Piece these magical unicorns using conventional patchwork techniques. Lisa’s horn is made using the included full-size cutting guide and a shortcut piecing method that avoids fussy matching of points. Everything else is made from squares and rectangles. No paper piecing!

The pattern suggests cutting Lisa’s mane from precut 2-1/2” fabric strips. You will cut these strips down before using them in the quilt, but purchasing a package of precut 2-1/2” strips is still generally easier and more economical than purchasing up to 54 different 1/8 yard cuts. This is also a great pattern for using scraps and the pattern includes detailed block diagrams that show exactly how many pieces you need to make a single block with a monochromatic or rainbow mane.

LISA THE UNICORN QUILT FEATURING CUSTOM KONA ROLL-UP

This roll of 2-1/2” strips includes a rainbow of Kona Solids for making Lisa the Unicorn’s mane, Kona Pepper for her eyes and nostrils, Metallic Essex Yarn-Dyed linen blend for her horn, and enough coordinating binding strips for the pictured quilt.
