STAR SYSTEMS

I sometimes have a hard time narrowing down how many colors and fabrics I want to put in a quilt, so I designed this 80” x 80” quilt to features ALL the colors! Use fat eighths, precut 10” squares, or scraps from your stash to make clusters of colorful stars using conventional patchwork piecing. The centers of these stars are great places to show off fussy cuts of your favorite fabrics.

FABRIC & KITS

The colorful fabrics in my sample are from my Planetarium and Paintbox print collections, and my Planetarium Kona Solid coordinates, all of which are available as precut 10” squares from Robert Kaufman Fabrics.

The background fabrics in my quilt as Kona Windsor and Snow, and Essex Yarn-Dyed linen blend in Indigo.
